How Does HD Flexo Change Label Printing?
HD Flexo printing has taken the label industry by storm, and for good reason! This technology, by Esko, combines 4000 dpi HD optics with unique printing screening technologies, which achieves a sharper and more accurate imaging.

How Does It Work?
The high-resolution optics of HD Flexo deliver sharper imaging of text and lines, along with more clearly defined and better shaped screen dots. High-resolution imaging on the CDI creates a textured surface on the plate, which improves the ink lay-down and increases ink density on the final print. The result from this is improved image richness and contrast, along with a simplified plate production.
Why Use It?
Labels play a major role in selling your product… the design, materials and print quality are a direct reflection of your brand. To print the highest quality labels, many flexographic label converters are moving to HD Flexo printing. Much like high-definition TV increased the clarity of our movies and shows, HD Flexo plates are improving the print quality of labels. Overall, you’ll get more vibrant colors, stronger solids and smoother vignettes, along with sharper images.
Bringing consistency, vibrant colors and increased print quality, HD Flexo raises the industry standard in flexographic printing. If you would like to learn more or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
